Dr. Jack Borenstein, Ph.D., is a Licensed Psychologist located in South Florida, originally from the New York metropolitan area, he relocated for his predoctoral  internship and postdoctoral residency, quickly becoming enamored with the region's climate and vibrant community. He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from CUNY's Queens College and spent time interning at Zucker Hillside Hospital. Dr. Borenstein obtained his M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from LIU Post and his Ph.D. from the Dept. of Clinical and Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. He also completed in a concentration in Latino Mental Health and Bilingual Counseling. With training in various clinical treatment modalities, he specializes in psychological severe mental illness, anxiety, depression, and bilingual treatment. Dr. Borenstein has worked in community mental health clinics, university counseling centers and Assisted Living Facilites. His research and presentations have addressed topics like Latino mental health, Jewish psychology, and gender roles. Throughout his career, he has worked with individuals severe mental illness, mood disorders, and personality disorders, and has also conducted psychological and forensic evaluations while providing therapy for clients involved with the Department of Children Families in South Florida.
